Book ReviewThis is a very short kid’s story. I picked it up cause I thought the illustrations were quite charming. I realized it was a book from 1907 when I opened which surprised me cause I wouldn’t think it’d be that old. The story follows a girl’s toys and their opinion on Mr. Cinnamon Bear. At first they all dislike Mr. Cinnamon Bear because he’s German and they don’t want him around but eventually they come around to understanding that the bears just want to live their lives and apologize. It’s an interesting introduction into discrimination and xenophobia for children. I was pretty surprised about the subject matter.
