Book Review	A slowish beginning but a satisfying storyline.  Water ties together the land, the people, illness, loss, and destruction. I hope many will feel the annual monsoon rains, the fear of the dark nights, the blinding sunlight in summer, the fragrant forest, and the pain of human loss while reading this story. I know I did. The author seamlessly brought multiple characters to life. Each was so richly created, as were the various locations around British India and beyond. Dr. Verghese delved deeply into medical terminology but wrote so that all could understand.
