TitleSunrise on the Reaping
AuthorSuzanne Collins
RatingHighly Recommended
Book ReviewAs the second prequel to the original Hunger Games trilogy, Sunrise on the Reaping continues to explore the horror of a dystopian society entertained by violence. The protagonists become more likeable as the story goes on, and you’re constantly questioning the motives of other characters. Suzanne Collins provides further background to and reveals the meanings and origins of things from the original trilogy. As always, she never forgets her intentions for writing this series and provides commentary on our own society.
