It's premise is him as a senior in the academy and part of their senior project is to be mentors to the tributes of the 10th hunger games. What is supposed to be villain origin story turns out to be a disappointment of a story. The writing starts out good, but turns south in part 3 with little to no character development for Snow and you don't get a satisfying answer for why he turned out the way he did. It's worth reading if you are a hardcore Hunger Games fan, but otherwise not worth the disappointment.
