| Book Review | A faux autobiography of the Roman emperor Claudius, in which he primarily recounts the exploits and crimes of his family, including Augustus, Tiberius, Caligula, and other such sundries of history. Claudius' self-deprecating wit is alternately entertaining and pain-inducing, as he accounts his mistreatment due to his stammer and limp, the machinations of his grandmother, and the various wives to whom he is subjected. |
