| Book Review | Downton Abbey meets Groundhog Day in Life After Life, a startling epic that takes place over the course of decades in 20th century England. Life After Life is the story of Ursula, who is reborn each time she dies and is set to live the same life over again, subconsciously correcting for the mistake that led to her death, whether it be in childhood, adolescence or adulthood. In the meantime, time marches on, and we catch a glimpse into a Britain that endures two world wars and a century of dramatic upheaval. |
