Published
in 1968, this non-fiction work by the popular novelist is Michener's very
personal reflection upon his beloved "adopted country," Spain.
Although obviously a lot has changed in Spain since that time (hopefully its
treatment of women, historically its economy - for good and bad, and
certainly its government) this is still supremely terrific travel writing,
with insights into art and culture that still hold true. I'll know soon, as
I'm reading this as I plan for my own first trip to Spain...
