Book ReviewI absolutely loved this book. It was a book where the chapters went fast, and before I knew it, it was over. The writing was eloquent but flowed easily. The book centers around the love story of Achilles and Patroclus, both major figures in the story of the Trojan War. It was a tragic love story that spanned practically their entire lives. It demonstrates the tragedy of falling in love with another human due to our inherently flawed nature and limited time on Earth. It is also a coming-of-age story of sorts, as there is significant character development between Achilles and Patroclus as they discover what they live and fight for. The story demonstrates that sometimes true heroes are not the ones that are idolized in the history books. I thoroughly enjoyed the book, and now I want to read Miller's next book, Circe.
