Established in 2007 by the Leatherby Libraries, the Community of Readers is the summer reading program for Chapman University. This program is open to everyone who has borrowing privileges at the Leatherby Libraries and a current library account, including students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Members select books from the Leatherby Libraries and receive prizes upon submission of their first review. The only requirement is that books must be obtained through the Leatherby Libraries.

Book Review Every field or industry has their nomenclature and terminology and the rare book trade is no different. I needed to read this for professional development, as I attended the Rare Book School at the University of Virginia recently. (Summer camp for book nerds.) I did not have a rare monographs background and this book, a dictionary of terms used by related professionals was very necessary. It includes terms for every physical component of a book (leaves, endpaper, boards) and rare manuscript material (broadsheet, broadside, ephemera). Special collections and archives, one of which I manage, occasionally acquire items from antiquarian and rare book dealers and this glossary is necessary when communicating with them. Would only recommend if you're interested in the minutiae of this very specific world.
