Book ReviewThis novel is an unfolding mystery about what happened to an Egyptologist and a missing Australian soldier, set in the 1920s. The tone was very funny, and the set-up was clever, introducing hints of the mysteries at the very beginning of the book. The Egyptologist was an interesting character, who made reading the book fun. I appreciated the twists, as can be expected in a mystery, that were not explicitly spelled out. However, the character of the detective was a little dull, and the pacing got very slow in parts.
