Uncommon Type: Some Stories

Title Uncommon Type: Some Stories
Author Tom Hanks
Call Number McNaughton
Location 1st Floor McNaughton
Rating Highly Recommended
Book Review Last fall at USC, I watched Tom Hanks speak about his collection of short stories, and life in general, at an NPR event with David Greene where Hanks read a passage aloud and then re-read his interpretation of how the passage would have sounded if he had actually completed the entire manuscript on a typewriter. I've been slowly enjoying these tales ever since, and if you're a Tom Hanks fan, this is a must. If you're a typewriter fan, also a must; I am both, so double-must, and worthwhile to the last word.
