Book Review | I really enjoyed this novel which spans several time periods including present day and the 1850s Antebellum South. It's a story about an enslaved horse-groomer, Jarret, and his relationship with a prize-winning racehorse that was promised to him at foaling. It's about uncovering some of that history through art and through the skeletal study of the horse. The story is as good as the details, and both shine in Horse. |
