1897 Sears Roebuck catalogue

Book ReviewThe original Amazon. I checked this out because I often worry about how easy it is to rely on one particular company to deliver anything and everything that you purchase to your house.

This catalog was literally where America got most of their home goods, and it's sort of fascinating to consider this and juxtapose it with Amazon's business model today. Sure, there might be more variety (and food) available to consumers today, but it's still fascinating to imagine ordering your new life to the standards of 1897! I spent 3 days combing through this title picking out my wardrobe, and it was spectacular.
