| Book Review | In 1927 Zora Neale Hurston interviewed Cudjo Lewis, who was brought to America on the slave ship Clotilda. It was her last voyage and the ship was burned after reaching port to destroy evidence. The author spent over 3 months getting to know Lewis and recording his story. It is an unforgettable account of what it was like to be a slave in the South. |
