Leonardo Da Vinci

TitleLeonardo Da Vinci
Author Walter Isaacson
Call Number MCNAUGHTON
Location 1st Floor McNaughton
Rating Highly Recommended
Book Review This covers a majority of the famous artist's upbringing such as how and where he learned his art techniques, and the time period of Italy that he experienced. I learned so much about the Leonardo that I didn't know before. While he was mainly known for the Mona Lisa and the Vitruvian Man, he also made a great impression on engineering throughout the cities he had traveled to. Even the sketches he kept in his journals look like masterpieces. I think Leonardo would've been a philosopher based on what he wrote about nature and life. I like the structure of this book because it separates everything based on certain periods of Leonardo's life. I didn't feel like I was reading a biography.
