| Book Review | Proulx's memoir takes the reader to the open range of Wyoming as her home is being built. She writes of the long and complicated process of purchasing land from the Nature Conservancy, and working in and around severe weather patterns. She also writes about the history of grazing, immigration and the American Indians as each impacts her new home. A favorite chapter was "The Year of Birds" where Proulx writes of her many observations. |
