Book Review | This is a powerful and engaging memoir of a child who survived the Holocaust. Leon Leyson recounts the six year period in which he and his family struggled to survive each day under Nazi oppression. Leyson pays tribute to the risks taken by Oskar Schindler, knowing that without his name on the infamous Schindler's list, Leyson and his family would not have survived. Leyson and his family's courage, resourcefulness, and determination in the face of such horrific circumstances was incredibly inspiring. |
