The Book of Dust

TitleThe Book of Dust
Author Philip Pullman
Call Number McNaughton
Location 1st Floor McNaughton
Rating Highly Recommended
Book Review If you are a fan of Philip Pullman's "Dark Materials" series, I would highly recommend this companion novel.  Actually, even if you aren't familiar with Pullman's other works, it is a worthwhile read.  Pullman's fantasy world is a lot like ours except everyone has a "daemon"--an animal-shaped embodiment of the soul.  Beautiful, engaging and thought provoking--can't wait to read the next one in the series!
