| Book Review | Scott is a twenty-something from Toronto who must fight the seven ex-boyfriends of cool-girl (see also: mpdg), one Ramona Flowers. It's never fully explained why he must engage in battle with the aforementioned ex-boyfriends, but the reader is intended to suspend their disbelief for this one. The first issue is rife with references to arcade games and Canadian rock music, which (spoiler) carries over into the next 5 issues. A non-traditional bildungsroman/slice of life graphic novel for those new to or already fans of the genre. |
