| Book Review | A young sets out in the middle of the night to relieve the stress at home. She encounters peculiar folk along the way: A manager of a love hotel, a jazz player preparing to give up music to study law, and a prostitute who got abused from her client. Back at home the girls older sister is stuck in her dreams and can't wake up. We get absorbed into the mysterious dreamworld. Overall I liked the melancholy vibe of the book. I wish more was explained about the sister who has been asleep, but I'm getting used to Murakami's storytelling where a lot of things are better off being a mystery. |
