Book Review	In contrast to her previous book, in which she spends a great deal of time drawing parallels between herself and her father, Bechdel’s memoir about her mother is disengaged and distant. It’s an analytical examination of their differences and a search for the exact moment when the invisible “gap” opened between them. People who enjoy reading psychology cases and therapist notes will find this interesting, while those expecting something personal will probably find it too dry and academic.
