Book Review | As someone interested in political philosophy, it's always nice to find a short book to summarize the beliefs of a certain school or movement. This book is just that book for communism. This book is actually taken from a longer book written by Engels and is done to be a summary of Marx's and his ideas. There are only 3 chapters and articulate fairly well the difference between utopian socialism (such as Robert Owen) and scientific socialism (Marx and Engels). What I most enjoyed is I felt I understood a good gist of what Marx and Engels were arguing for without having to reads thousands of pages of theory! |
