I
understand why fans say the third book is their favorite. It was an extremely
satisfying read as there are extra niblits of story than portrayed in the
film. I also loved the charater relationships Harry had with Lupin and
Sirius. Meeting more of their character, it was endearing to read about their
relationship with young Harrry, who has always longed for a father figure.
The extra, mysterious sub-plot of having a murderer on the loose was an added
bonus to the already fantastical year at Hogwarts.
